A Timeless Finish for Your Home

Natural stone cladding has become increasingly popular in Zimbabwe, offering homeowners and designers a beautiful, durable way to dress up walls both inside and out. By fixing thin, real stone panels—rather than synthetic or manufactured veneers—to a substrate, you harness the unique textures, colours and patterns that only nature can produce. Whether you’re aiming for a sleek modern façade or a cosy, rustic interior feature wall, natural stone cladding brings instant character and a sense of permanence to any space.

What Is Natural Stone Cladding?
At its simplest, stone cladding involves quarrying solid blocks of rock, slicing them into thin slabs or tiles (usually 10–30 mm thick), and adhering them to walls using specialised mortars or mechanical fixings. Unlike full-thickness stone walls, cladding is lighter, faster to install and more cost‑effective—yet it still delivers the authentic feel of natural rock.

From Quarry to Your Wall

  1. Extraction: In Zimbabwe, quarries around Mutoko, Bindura and Marondera produce high‑quality granite, sandstone and slate. Blocks are cut from the hillside, then transported to processing yards.
  2. Cutting & Finishing: There, diamond‑tipped saws slice the blocks into panels. The stone faces are then polished, honed or flamed, depending on the desired texture: polished for a smooth, glossy look; honed for a matte finish; or flamed to emphasise the stone’s natural grain and slip resistance.
  3. Quality Control & Packaging: Each panel is inspected for thickness, flatness and colour consistency before being packed and shipped to your project site.

Popular Stone Types We Offer

  • Granite: Extremely hard and weather‑resistant, our local granite ranges from jet black to speckled grey. It works beautifully on exterior façades, columns and even kitchen splashbacks.
  • Slate: A fine‑layered metamorphic rock available in shades of charcoal, green or purple. Its natural cleft surface creates a textured, rustic look for walls, flooring or pool surrounds.
  • Sandstone: Warm earth tones—think honey, beige and rust—make sandstone a favourite for garden walls, patios and fireplace surrounds. Its slightly rough texture adds depth and warmth.
  • Travertine: With its soft cream, ivory and rust veins, travertine delivers a classic, almost marble‑like elegance. It’s ideal for interior feature walls, bathrooms and verandas where a touch of sophistication is desired.

Why Choose Natural Stone Cladding?

  • Longevity: Properly installed stone cladding can last for decades with minimal maintenance—you won’t need to repaint or replace it every few years.
  • Insulation: The mass of stone helps regulate indoor temperatures, keeping your home cooler in the summer heat and warmer when temperatures drop.
  • Value & Aesthetics: Real stone adds instant curb appeal and can even increase property value. Because each piece is unique, your wall becomes a one‑of‑a‑kind work of art.
  • Eco‑friendly: By sourcing stone locally, you reduce transportation emissions and support Zimbabwean quarries and craftsmen.

Suitability for Zimbabwe’s Climate
Zimbabwe’s combination of strong sun, seasonal rains and warm temperatures demands building materials that won’t fade, rot or crack. Our natural stone cladding is UV‑stable, water‑resistant and won’t warp or peel—perfect for Harare’s sunshine or the afternoon rains in Mutare.
